Services

Our catalogue of services includes a wide range of examinations, consultations and treatments tailored to your individual needs. We attach great importance to the sensitive and continuous care of our patients and use state-of-the-art technology to offer you the best possible diagnostics and therapy. In this catalogue you will find an overview of our most important services as well as further information.

Cancer screening examinations

The sooner cancer is detected and treated, the better the chances of recovery. Often there are no symptoms or pain at the beginning. It is therefore important to have a gynaecological check-up once a year. Depending on your age, the female genitals are examined, a Pap or HPV smear is taken and the breasts are palpated. These examinations are covered by the health insurance.

Desire to have children and pregnancy support

We advise you on behaviour, important vaccinations and vitamins before you want to become pregnant. Sometimes pregnancy does not occur, in which case we can carry out initial examinations and, if necessary, initiate therapy.
During pregnancy we accompany you (and with pleasure also your partner) in cooperation with our midwife according to the maternity guidelines of the G-BA - so that you can feel comfortable and safe during this extraordinary time.

Contraceptive counselling

Every woman is different. Therefore, not every contraceptive works for every woman. In a detailed discussion, we try to find the right contraceptive method for you together. The spectrum ranges from non-hormonal methods such as diaphragms and copper IUDs to the pill, hormone IUDs and contraceptive sticks.

Medicinal abortion

It is important to us that women who decide to have an abortion are well accompanied medically and personally. Therefore, we offer medication abortions up to the 9th week of pregnancy after the last period. This method is non-invasive and a safe way to terminate a pregnancy at an early stage.

Diagnosis of female genital mutilation (FGM)

We offer victims of female genital mutilation (FGM) sensitive counselling and examination as well as, if necessary, the preparation of reports for the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). We work together with Saida International e.V. on this. Appointments are made quickly and discreetly.

Menopause counselling

The menopause is different for every woman: sometimes earlier and sometimes later, sometimes with minor and sometimes with severe symptoms. In a personal consultation we find individual solutions. These range from lifestyle changes to herbal remedies to hormonal therapy for more severe symptoms.

Girls' consultation

Young women often have a thousand questions: about menstruation, important changes in their bodies, sexuality and contraception. These can be discussed in our so-called girls' consultation. You are also welcome to bring someone with you, for example a friend. Normally, no examination takes place during this special consultation, unless you want one because of complaints.

Complaints

If you have complaints, such as bleeding disorders, period pains, endometriosis, incontinence, problems with prolapse, vaginal dryness, problems with sexuality - with us you will receive up-to-date diagnostics for every gynaecological problem and, after joint decision-making, a suitable therapy for you.

Cancer aftercare

After a gynaecological cancer, regular and intensive aftercare is important. For this purpose, we not only offer you regular examinations, but are always at your side with an open ear and emotional support.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations make a very important contribution to the prevention of serious infectious diseases and certain types of cancer, such as cervical cancer. Therefore, we offer all important vaccinations - from influenza to HPV - and follow the current recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute and the Saxon Vaccination Commission. If you have any uncertainties in this regard, please do not hesitate to ask us for our professional expertise.

Self-pay services

Ultrasound examination

Gynaecological ultrasound examinations are often used to diagnose and monitor diseases of the female reproductive system. Using high-resolution images of the uterus, ovaries and surrounding tissues, conditions such as cysts, tumours, endometriosis and other gynaecological problems can be detected early. Ultrasound examination is a safe and non-invasive procedure that usually does not cause any pain. As part of the preventive medical check-up, this procedure is not covered by the statutory health insurance, but can be claimed as an individual health service (IGeL).

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)

STDs do not necessarily cause symptoms and are therefore not always noticed themselves. Nevertheless, early diagnosis is often important in order to avoid serious consequences such as chronic pain or infertility. Up to the age of 25, an examination for chlamydia is covered by the health insurance once a year. After that, it is no longer covered and neither are all examinations for other sexually transmitted diseases (HIV, gonococci, syphilis, etc.). As an individual health service (IGeL), we can of course offer you any examination at any time.

Insertion of intrauterine devices (IUDs) and contraceptive sticks

IUDs and the contraceptive sticks are among the safest and most uncomplicated methods of contraception in everyday life. We are happy to advise you on this and have a lot of experience with their insertion.

Medical history

Our medical history form helps us to quickly get a comprehensive overview of the overall medical and social situation of our patients. In this way, current medical concerns can be considered in a broader context right from the start. Important influencing factors and potential interactions are immediately apparent. We would be pleased if you would bring the completed form to the first consultation in the practice.

FAQ

First of all, there will be an initial consultation. This is about your current well-being and any unanswered questions about topics that are important to you (e.g. menstruation, contraceptives, sexuality, and much more). In addition, you will be asked about any previous illnesses or serious illnesses in your family. Usually there is no examination at first. However, we will be happy to explain the procedure of a gynaecological examination and show you our rooms.

Climate protection and the avoidance of waste are very important to us as a practice team. A small contribution can be to use your own towel for the gynaecological examination instead of disposable pads. We would be pleased if you would like to support our efforts in this regard.

Yes, but there are certain examinations that are not entirely conclusive and have to be repeated in case of doubt. Please just ask us.

Yes, of course! It is even beneficial for the bond between the baby and the other caregiver if he or she is present from the beginning. However, please discuss this with us. Sometimes, of course, we have to talk to you alone - but then we will discuss this with you.
